Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

I can’t begin to thank you enough for this incredible movement. Several weeks ago, my husband confessed to an 8-year porn addiction he had been trying so hard to keep a secret. He told me he had convinced himself that it was harmless, but when he finally realized the effect it was having on our relationship, he finally came clean. We discovered Fight the New Drug that night and have been working together to help him overcome his addiction. He has been clean for three weeks and attributes a lot of it to the information he found on FTND, especially reading about the global impact porn has. We are moving toward healing in our relationship, and I just had to thank y’all for the part this movement has played in the healing process.

I wanted to take this time to say thank you. Thanks for all that y’all do to shine a light on pornography and sexual exploitation. When I was a kid, my dad did things to my sister that I won’t mention. His pornography addiction cost him his two precious children. There were many years I was hurt by those circumstances and held onto my anger. Since then, I’ve been able to attend a recovery program and use Fortify. I’m now starting my own organization with a friend that centers around child abduction prevention. I am grateful for all that y’all do. Fight on!

This morning, about 30 minutes ago, I called one of my community leaders and confessed to him my porn struggle, which helped me. I’ve never thought before about how watching porn does not make me a bad person. That really helped me to think about it, and it’s thanks to you guys. I’ve always thought that if I watch it, I am a bad person, but I realize that I am a good person but I’ve got a nagging, annoying struggle that’s always with me. There’s a difference.

Thank you so much for what you do. You guys really are pros. I wish I had known that before all of this, but thank you so much.

As a long-time porn addict, I appreciate the science behind this video. I am also grateful for the courageous young people who have come forward with their stories. Thank you for the work you are doing.

I have almost made it 2 weeks since the last time I watched porn. Sometimes it’s challenging to keep myself away from thoughts and memories, but I want to live the life that many people have been experiencing. I was exposed to porn when I was 6 until now at 22, but I want to be totally free. I want to see people, not to see bodies and shapes. I want to thank every single experience people share with you guys, and thank you for doing this for people. Many thanks for inspiring people around the world.

I watched this with my 13-year-old and it opened a door for some great conversations. He was very thankful that I took the time to help empower him with the truth! Thank you for creating such a fabulous resource!

Thank you so much! I knew I was not alone. From now on, I choose to stop. I’ll make it. I will be a person full of life again.

I don’t know if you guys read this but my sexual assault story is exactly like a story you shared. I wanted to say thank you for sharing this because not only does it help to raise awareness but it also helps to make people who have been assaulted feel less alone, and know other people have felt exactly how they have.
