Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!
Ever since I saw Brain, Heart, World 100 days ago, I haven’t watched porn since. For my 100th day without porn celebration, I decided to share my personal story with porn and objectification on my blog for all of my friends and family to know what is going on with this fight and journey I am on.
It was very difficult to share this, but Fight the New Drug has helped me to see that it is okay to talk about this and that is the only way that this may change. Thank you all!
I found Fight the New Drug not long after my relationship ended, and while the path has had some speed bumps, I feel so much more free. I feel so much more clear. I feel more whole as a person. I have obtained a clarity when it comes to proper, healthy goals in seeking a lasting, loving relationship. Whenever I rock a FTND t-shirt, it’s always a conversation starter—and frankly, it’s a conversation that should be happening more often in today’s society, and it’s a conversation I’m proud to launch in my community.
Not long ago, I broke up with a boy that had been suffering from porn addiction for over 13 years. We broke up because he kept relapsing and the relationship was getting toxic. I’m devastated. I wish porn wasn’t a thing. I wish people would stop supporting this dark business. Your page has brought me hope. Keep up the challenging work. You guys don’t know the impact you have on people.
I am a recovering porn and sex addict and I just want you all to know that you are doing great work. My choices in looking at pornography have hurt the most important person in my life so much. I feel like a monster and now all I can do is to try to help contribute to fighting against this awful culture and industry. I have been listening to your podcasts and it truly disgusts me that I was contributing to so much exploitation and abuse in the industry. No one should ever have to go through those things and I truly will always consider before consuming now. Thank you.
Thankful someone is putting this information out there in video form so that more people will see. I’ve read books on porn addiction, but most people will never pick up one book let alone read it in their lifetime about this issue. These videos will reach so many more people! Thank you for caring to educate the masses.
Hi there! I only recently came across your site and Twitter. I know it sounds incredibly silly, but I didn’t even consider that I may have a porn compulsion because I didn’t watch it every day or week or on a regular basis, but just sometimes when I felt like it. Now that I’ve tried to stop, I seem to be going through a rough patch of really wanting to watch it the past few days, and I keep thinking, “Eh, what’s just a bit of it?” but your tweets keep me going! They remind me it’s possible to stop completely and that it’s important for so many reasons to keep fighting. So, thank you so much. I’m so grateful when I see you on my timeline, not just for myself, but for everyone struggling.
It helps to see this whole topic broken down. I’m thankful someone is finally addressing this and not condoning it as “fun” or “normal,” because it’s honestly anything but that. Definitely worth a listen to the episodes to really get a clear description—I truly think you’ll be surprised to find out what you didn’t even know. The work that Fight the New Drug does is much needed in our world today. They pull back the deceptive facade of porn and break down the facts in easily accessible and engaging ways. Thanks for what you guys do!
