Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Excellent material! Our whole family benefitted from watching the documentary series. We appreciated the definition of love as “focus.” The men, women, and families who were willing to share their stories made the film relevant and believable. Thanks to all those who were willing to be interviewed and share their expert knowledge.

Your articles are exactly what I needed today–I shared them with several people. It met a need that I figured wouldn’t be met. I will be utilizing these resources. Thank you!

Thank you for giving me a new perspective & helping to change my life.

Today marks 6 months of freedom from an addiction I had for about 9 years . . . 6 whole months. I didn’t think that would be possible! But I chose to fight, to keep fighting, and still choose to fight (even though it’s tough), and I’ve almost felt the rewiring in my brain!

This freedom has allowed me to love my friends so much more than I ever could before because my heart hasn’t been split between a screen and my friends. I think I’m happier, more content, and better at loving than I was in my early 20’s! Happy happy days.

FTND has opened our eyes to a problem that is only getting worse! Pornography is no laughing matter. It is breaking up families, shaming men and women across the board. FTND has opened a topic that NEEDS to be discussed with the youth of today. We have been able to have open, healthy talks with our own kids about pornography. Thanks to FTND we can talk to our daughters, their husbands, and our son openly about how destructive pornography is. Thanks, FTND! You have opened our eyes, and strengthened our relationship with our kids!

Wow, FTND. Your email this morning, with the subject title “PSA: Porn Is Not Healthy” came at exactly the right time. I’ve been having an increasingly difficult time staying away from porn. I’ve been free of it for about 3 months, but, unfortunately, this morning I looked up a popular porn website. Just as I tapped on the first video, your email popped up at the top of my screen. I instantly knew what I was doing shouldn’t happen, and I exited the website. Thanks for the amazingly-timed email, and thanks for all you do to combat this pervasive issue.

WOW! This is an incredibly powerful film series. I had a similar experience to one of the guys in the film as a kid and it messed up a lot of my life. It took years of hard work to stop looking at porn and I sometimes still want to. This film series is so motivational to stay free and focus on healthy relationships and experiencing life.

Amazing! Thank you for highlighting solid science, courageous men and women, and working to create a better world. Our greatest enemy in all of these battles is hopelessness. Thanks, especially, for bringing hope!

I found this organization a few years ago, and I was absolutely awestruck. Because of your resources, I have been inspired to fight against sex trafficking and raise awareness on the slavery and abuse those human beings go through. Being factually educated by FTND on the detriments of porn has really enlightened a passion in me for standing up for respect for everyone. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do on a day-to-day basis.

I appreciate what you’re doing. As you know, it’s really needed. I first learned of you via the Porn Kills Love tee

Excellent! I am a leader in my community, looking to address the issue of porn in my small community, and based on what I see in these documentary episodes, I will most likely start with these.

I’m so grateful to you and the work that you do! Before discovering your organization, resisting porn felt like a battle alone in the wilderness. Keep on fighting! Here’s to 14 years, and 14 more, and many more in the future!

Thank you for building such an incredible platform for those of us who struggle with this issue. It’s incredibly validating, helpful, and priceless to be able to learn and understand my addiction without any shame or alienation that gets tied to it. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the resource of your documentary! I have been trying to learn about the effects of pornography but so much of the content out there is very scattered and not cited. I appreciate your work and want to support this movement!

Feb 2019

I think you have excellent services for those in need and hope that you will continue to put up the good fight!

Feb 2022

I think it’s amazing what you do and it does have an effect and an influence on people, especially when you make your statements so fashionable. It’s so important to speak out against these issues that are so normalized in this society and I’m glad that there are organizations like yours.

Thank you guys for all you do! I love the three documentary episodes–they’re so well done and personable. I find most people don’t know the harms of porn because they don’t talk about it. My boyfriend’s porn habit nearly ended our relationship, but we’ve decided to work it out, and he’s getting help with recovery. No one ever talked to him about porn, told him the harms of it, or asked him if he had a problem with it, and I was shocked. I feel like there are so many people who don’t even know what it’s doing to their brains or relationships— it’s heartbreaking! They don’t know all of that, let alone know about the world of sexual exploitation in the porn industry. People need and deserve real love! Thank you so so much for spreading awareness!

I just wanted to share that porn fueled the sexual abuse and assault I experienced as a teen. Thanks to resources like yours, I’ve been able to find healing, peace, and a life after trauma. I just wanted to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. Someday, no one will suffer like I did and that gives me so much joy.

I’ve struggled with porn addiction since age 12. I’m finally choosing to let my shame go. Porn is very prevalent in Icelandic society, but its negative effects are rarely, if ever, discussed. People view it as perfectly normal. Therapists never mention it as an issue, and I’ve never heard an Icelandic person admit they have a problem with porn, so I felt like I was the only one. Hearing personal accounts from FTND and studying the research has been so refreshing, knowing that I am not alone.

In high school, I gave a speech explaining porn stats I got from your website. The teacher told me afterwards she’d learned a lot and wished everyone in school could hear that message. I think people here would agree, but they just don’t know. So I wanted to thank you, especially for your podcast which has been a way for me to be surrounded by light and strength. You reach far outside the US, and have at least one supporter in Iceland. Much love.
