Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

I was impacted by this. I have been struggling with porn for almost 15 years. Watching this really gave me hope that I can and I will recover, so that I can live my life to fullest without negative feelings dragging me down.

I’m currently in counseling right now to retrain my brain to not want porn. I went over 50 days without a stumble for the first time in my life, and even though I did eventually fall, my wife and counselor were so proud! This journey has also helped to create a healthy sex life for my wife and me. I no longer see her as an object but as my forever partner who will stand by me through this struggle! This movement has changed my life and I never want to go back to the way things used to be. Keep fighting and keep loving!

What a fantastic docuseries. Brain, Heart, World brought a smile to my face when I reached the end. I’m glad I stuck around to watch it from beginning to end. All of what was stated, I went through personally, and it began to put a strong halt in my life. This stuff creates a lot of problems in my life, just like other addictions would. I’m so glad I’m taking steps to take it out and rewire my brain for the better.

I honestly can’t thank you enough for taking the time to send me a personal message with so much guidance and encouragement. I feel better about moving forward knowing I’m not alone and I have these resources. I’m glad you mention shame so many times. Even when you love someone, it’s honestly really hard to accidentally bring shame into the conversation because you feel so hurt. Thank you for reminding me it’s not personal because it truly feels like you’ve been cheated on and it’s really tough to separate yourself from the situation. I’m going to look into these resources and try to make progress. You are making a big difference in our world, thank you.

Wow! I am truly speechless. This docuseries enthralled me from start to finish. There was not one second where I wasn’t interested or couldn’t relate. The stories were amazing as well because they allowed me to see that there are normal people like me with this problem as well. Really well done. Thank you for making this and blessing me with this!

Dear FTND, I just wanted to say thank you. I am a normal tenth-grade girl who was told my whole life that porn was “gross and dirty.” I wanted to understand outside of my own context why it was “bad.” Your website has provided me with the information I needed to justify why I took my stand against pornography. In English class, I was able to speak for 6 minutes about something; I chose the dangers of porn. It wasn’t easy, but my heart breaks for this generation of boys and girls who don’t understand why they can’t seem to have functional relationships. I wanted to do something about it. I have had multiple conversations after my speech, and hope that at least one person began to think about the potential consequences of porn. This hasn’t been easy to talk about it, but having the right information definitely made it easier. Thank you.

I’m currently struggling with porn addiction. Watching Brain, Heart, World has taught me a lot about myself. I wish this information was widespread and taught to everyone, I never realized how dangerous porn is. Thank you for all the people doing the research and for the people who made this docuseries.
